We’re more than your average cycling club. We’re here for all your cycling needs, and more. Our team is at the ready to maintain your bike and equipment and, where needed, we can provide robust repair services. We’ll be able to restore your bike to its full glory, regardless of its condition.
What’s more, we have a vast selection of bicycles and accessories available to purchase, allowing you to take your cycling adventures to the next level. Our team is more than happy to discuss our wares and services at length. If you just want a breakdown of some of the basic gear, or a lengthy discussion on the intricacies of cycling, we’re ready.
Our History
The Cycling Club
The TEAMMC Cycling Club was founded in 2016 by members of Muslim Charity. In 2017, Rashid Ali and his friends embarked on an epic ride from the UK to Saudi Arabia, across 13 countries, spanning more than 5,000 kilometers in a mere 56 days. Rashid became the first person ever to cycle from London to Makkah. He and his team, including Abdul Hannan and Shubo Hussain, reached Makkah in time for the Hajj which they performed then. Hajj is a sacred pilgrimage that takes place annually in Saudi Arabia, attracting millions of Muslims from around the world. Those Muslims who can afford it are obligated to perform Hajj at least once in their lifetime.
The Café and Repair Shop
Our TEAMMC Cycles café and repair shop was founded after the roaring success of our TEAMMC Cycling Club. We wanted to create a space for cycling enthusiasts to meet and socialise, enjoy a spicy chaii as well as having their bikes looked after by expert mechanics that live and breathe cycling themselves. From here, we start regular rides, but we also enjoy a spirited chat about all things cycling. Come around and say hi.
Born out of the Muslim Charity’s cycling club, TEAMMC Cycles is a project of TEAMMC LTD, a subsidiary of Muslim Charity Helping The Needy (Registered Charity Number 1078488). Any profits from our TEAMMC Cycles cafe and bike repair shop are directed towards humanitarian projects around the world in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Gaza, Turkey and Yemen to help people overcome poverty and establish a dignified livelihood.
